Low Profile Feeder (LPF) Materials Feeding SystemTM

A revolution in belt feeder technology!

The machine is a hybrid belt feeder / apron feeder, which uses proven features of each type of technology and delivers the advantages of both in one machine, whilst adding additional benefits unique to the Transmin LPF Materials feeding SystemTM including the ability to change direction by the incorporation of a bend transition.

Unlike conventional belt feeders, the belt itself is not subject to high tension forces, which means a lower profile can be achieved for most applications.  The belt is carried on heavy duty steel cross slats attached at each end to two strands of track type dozer chain – the chain and cross slats take the forces rather than the belt.

Standard belt widths of up to 3.6m are available and capacities can range up to many thousands of tonnes per hour.

Positively Driven

Belt slippage or mis-tracking is elminiated as the chain is positively driven by toothed sprockets.

Standardised Components

Industry standard components such as 'D Type' track chain, sprocket teeth, carry rollers and belting means the technology is readily accepted by operators and maintenance personnel.

Low Profile Design

The extremely low profile of the LPF means it occupies the smallest possible space in a plant layout, saving substantial civil and steel work costs.

Less Spillage

Spillage is managed more effectively than conventional belt or apron feeders due to the combined use of flexible belt walls and sealing systems.

Modular Belt Design

The belting does not have to be continuous and can be supplied in easily replaceable modular sections, joined by a specially designed mechanical joiner.
